Welcome to Life Songs. I am thrilled to be a part of a life stories project with eleven other talented photographers! In this series, we will be documenting our lives with a different theme song each month. The images in the posts will be taken from a less traditional approach, showcasing “real life” in our own ways. This month’s inspiration is “Heart of Gold” by Neil Young. It might be worth finding it and having a listen as you browse our blog circle. See the link to the next photographer in the circle at the end of this post.

This months song made me think of my little guy and his two main loves at the moment, his big sister and his favorite toy, Chocolate. He spends most of his days carrying around that dog and following his sister around. He idolizes her and when he wakes up in the morning one of the first thing he asks is where she is. He will gladly share all of his toys with her and frequently offers her things just to make her happy.
Enjoy!

Thank you for viewing my Life Songs post, please visit Leah’s site to see her take on this month’s song!

Great sibling shots Alexis! I hope you make sure to get some printed. But most of all I love the last black and white of your little boy.

My sweet girl. She’s such a good helper. Whenever we are in the car and she sees a field or a patch of pretty flowers, she shouts “Mommy, we should go take pictures there!”
She’s got such a sweet nature and is so smart and funny. But, boy do I have a girlie girl on my hands. Most days you will find her wearing a princess dress, with crown, gloves and glass slippers. She loves her baby dolls, and will play with them for hours. She has the best imagination and I love to listen to her make up stories about her dolls and stuffed animals. She also loves to dance and twirl, and frequently enlists her 3 year old baby brother to help put on dance performances. I love this age so so much, she is just a joy to be around!!!

We had a lot of fun, just us girls, going out to shoot this session. Although, she didn’t want to sit in the grass and get her dress dirty, lol! That’s my girlie girl for you.
